Overview

China Admissions helps international students realise their dream of studying abroad. As part of its Orientation Package, the company needed a definitive resource to help students navigate the complexities of moving to and studying in a new country.

I owned the project from start to finish and produced the Study in China Roadmap, a 49-page guidebook that takes students from choosing a goal to submitting their application.

The Challenge

The Chinese education system and application process can overwhelm foreign students. The information had to be accurate and comprehensive, and above all it had to be easy to digest.

The goal was to turn scattered, complex information into a single cohesive narrative.

Deliverables

  • Structured content strategyA clear roadmap for the student journey
  • Final PDF productA polished, ready-to-distribute digital guidebook
  • Marketing supportAssets to drive downloads and engagement

The Process

I worked as the sole Project Owner and managed the product lifecycle from initial research to final visual design.

The five phases of the project
The five phases of the project
  1. Discovery and research

I researched the Chinese education system in depth so that every piece of advice on applications and options was current and accurate.

  2. Content structuring

Before writing, I built a logical hierarchy for the content. I organised the guide into intuitive chapters and sections so the information flows step by step.

  3. Drafting and refinement

I drafted the full manuscript in a clear, welcoming and instructional tone that works for readers with different levels of English.

  4. Design and layout

I turned the draft into a fully designed PDF. I handled the layout, typography and formatting to give students a professional reading experience.

  6. Launch assets

I helped create the promotional materials that supported the launch and distribution of the guide to the student base.

Outcome

The finished guide runs to 49 pages and ships as part of the China Admissions Orientation Package. It gives applicants practical support at each stage of their application and has widened the platform's audience.
